Spotted this at the back of Denmark St over the weekend. I thought at first that it was a theatre scene-dock door, but closer inspection of the script indicates that large paintings are the reason for the double height.
Google is/are as can be seen, again refusing to accept any 'portrait' angled photos - boo to them. Just tip your head to the right and all is well.

More here. But note that the photo dated 1904 appears to show a shorter door and yet the double stonework exists as in my shot. An example of the more you find out the less you actually know.
