Off to the DEMU showcase which is a new one for me. I've been messing around with blue diesels for decades, but this is the serious end of the game and there is a slight amount of trepidation. There is also a dress code. I asked my travelling companion if the venue was easy to find. 'No problem.' came the reply. 'Just follow the black clothing.' I understand there is a push from DEMU members to rid themselves of the subtitle of 'we are all goths'.

ReplyDeleteDidn't see much black clothing today at the show, unlike the British Tarantula event I visited a couple of weeks ago!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I even wish to ask what that is.
ReplyDeleteSounds as if it is an alternative to the Naughty Step as a penance. Better do at Burton next weekend with the 7mm NGA annual bunfight. Good bacon butties as well, but the lighting in the hall is a "challenge" for photos!
ReplyDeleteYour goth photo is very good evidence for (a) banning the use of mobile phones for anyone under the age of 40 in order to try to recover the basic lifeskills of conversation through the mouth rather than by pressing buttons (I wonder if she was texting the young guy next to her?) and (b) bringing back National Service
Grumpy OF Dotage
Agree about the lighting - very odd. The 7mm NGA do is a no-no.
