The Slaters horse is a lovely moulding... no I'm lying. However with a bit of filing and filling it does start to work. I need to take a bit of the shine off of it though. What is it, horses sweat, ladies dribble? Something like that anyway.
I agree with Paul. Although horses, in good condition, do have a sheen to their coats, just like cars it doesn't work in miniature so, a bit of toning down should work wonders.
Looks good. I have a Slaters horse in the loft, a 2 piece moulding split down the middle, so its nice to know that they can be made presentable.
ReplyDeleteDoes need toning down though, the glossy coat makes it look like a china mantlepiece ornament.
